Schulzki, with over two decades of experience in composing for feature films, has a well-deserved reputation for creating compelling music that has earned him accolades at prestigious festivals around the globe. Since 2023, he has been channeling his expertise into the pop music arena, releasing a series of tracks that merge his cinematic roots with contemporary pop and R&B influences.
“Take Me to the Stars” is a perfect example of Schulzki’s ability to blend these genres seamlessly. The track opens with an ethereal atmosphere, setting the stage for the emotive lead vocals of Theresa Sittenauer. Her voice, both powerful and tender, guides the listener through a narrative of love and mystery, grounded by lush instrumentation that includes violins, cellos, and even a children’s choir.
The production is meticulously crafted, with every detail honed to perfection. Schulzki’s signature style shines through in the way he merges cinematic grandeur with modern pop sensibilities, creating a sound that is both timeless and fresh. The result is a track that feels as expansive as the night sky, yet intimately connected to the listener’s emotions.
Supporting Sittenauer’s lead vocals are the harmonies of Carina Chère and Jacky Hoeger, whose backing vocals add depth and texture to the arrangement. The Kinder- und Jugendchor Augustana, under the direction of Dominik Uhrmacher, contributes a hauntingly beautiful children’s choir that elevates the song’s ethereal quality. Instrumental contributions from a host of talented musicians—including violins by Nataliya Dubova, Martin Franke, Miku Imamura, and Mariko Umae, as well as trumpet by Leonardo Dianori and French horns by Felix Winker—add layers of richness to the composition.
Guitarist Michael Wagner’s subtle yet impactful playing, along with Schulzki’s own work on keys and synths, rounds out the track, making “Take Me to the Stars” a true collaborative effort. The final touches come courtesy of René Jesser, who handled the mixing, and Ludwig Maier, who provided mastering expertise, ensuring that every note shines with clarity.
The single is accompanied by a cover art designed by Schulzki himself, reflecting the otherworldly theme of the track. A special thanks is given to Ted Gange for his support in bringing this project to fruition.
“Take Me to the Stars” is more than just a song; it’s a musical experience that invites listeners to escape into a world of fantasy and emotion, guided by Schulzki’s masterful hand. As the night sky unfolds, so too does the story within the music, leaving one to wonder—what lies beyond the stars?
