Drawing inspiration from an eclectic array of musicians and genres, Brigitte’s sound captures the melancholic melodies of Johnny Cash, the ethereal atmospheres reminiscent of Chelsea Wolfe, and the mystical dreamscapes of Florence and the Machine. Her influences span the full spectrum of classical music, metal, and blues, with each style adding a unique layer to her compositions.
Brigitte’s deep, emotive voice weaves seamlessly with the powerful vibrations of her harp, creating a sound that is both enchanting and raw. This shift in her musical approach reflects her deep connection to the acoustic instrument, allowing her to explore the introspective themes of her songwriting with vulnerability and grace.
Her debut EP, Genesis, produced by NOTOS PRODUCTIONS, offers a glimpse into Brigitte's inner world through three poignant tracks. The first, Le Taulier, is a heartfelt tribute to Nestor, her late best friend and beloved cat, capturing the depth of her sorrow and the bond they shared. The second track, Hold the Other, tells a story of loveless looks and the isolation that can come from yearning for connection in a disconnected world. Finally, Endless Hope is a poetic ode to the dual nature of hope — both boundless and unpredictable.
With Genesis, Brigitte invites listeners to embark on an emotional journey where grief, longing, and optimism intertwine. Her unique fusion of folk, blues, and acoustic elements, combined with her poetic lyricism in both French and English, creates an experience that is as captivating as it is personal.
